Join a Scout Troop
The Adventure begins right here!
Starting last February 2019 boys and girls ages 11 to 17 were both welcome to join separate Scout Troops. The scouting curriculum, outdoor adventures, and all rank requirements are exactly the same. Girls have the opportunity, in separate Troops, to complete the same requirements as boys, earn the same merit badges and ranks, do the same projects and activities, and eventually become Eagle Scouts.
The Boy Scout program name is now changed from the “Boy Scout” program to the “Scouts BSA” program. The organization name, Boy Scouts of America, did not change. Come join Longhorn Council and have fun!
