The Cleburne Good Scout Award is presented annually to citizens for achievements, professionally or as a community leaders, that have left an enduring impact. Honorees model the principles and values expressed in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Funds raised through event sponsorships and donations at the breakfast directly support local youth Scouting programs.
This year we are recognizing The Court over Johnson County which consists of our county judge and four county commissioners. They serve the Johnson County Area, providing service in our county by driving the upkeep of our community.
Many youth organizations give young people a chance to practice and improve specific skills, but the Boy Scouts of America focuses on the bigger picture. By providing access to a wide variety of programs within a highly supportive setting, Scouting sparks a journey of self-discovery with lifelong benefits. Our Scouts develop and learn Growth Mindsets, Good Citizenship, Service to Others, Leadership & Teamwork, and an Appreciation for Nature.
