At Camp Tahuaya - Family Adventure Campground, ensuring the safety and well-being of all our guests is paramount. To maintain a secure and enjoyable environment, we have the following policies:
Reservation Guidelines:
- Only individuals listed on the reservation are permitted. If you need to add additional attendee(s), the Concierge Team can assist upon arrival.
- Camp Tahuaya reserves the right to refuse entrance to any adult and strictly prohibits unaccompanied minors.
Guest Responsibilities:
- Take home cherished memories and photographs, leaving only footprints behind.
- Exercise caution, kindness, and respect towards the local flora and fauna.
- Appreciate our cultural, historical and geological wonders. They are to be enjoyed, not touched.
- Respect the preferences of fellow guests, whether seeking fellowship or solitude.
- Maintain quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. This is a time to keep your spirits high but your campfires low.
General Policies
- Alcoholic beverages should not be consumed or displayed in public.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
- Guests must comply with all federal, state and local laws, including, but not limited to, laws regarding the possession and use of illegal drugs and firearms.
- Fireworks, explosives or detonating devices of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- Service animals are welcome with prior notice.
- Media/personal recording devices including drones are allowed within your immediate party.
- Solicitation and distribution of written materials requires approval from the Operations Director.
- Camp Tahuaya is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen personal property.
- To enhance everyone’s outdoor experience, we ask that all guests utilize the designated parking area. Guests are encouraged to walk or utilize non-motorized bicycles to explore camp. Permitted vehicles are allowed in designated areas. Vehicles are allowed in rustic campsites while loading/unloading.
- Guests have received, reviewed and executed the Participant Waiver for every guest in their party.
Participation
- Wristbands issued at check-in must be worn at all times
- Camp Tahuaya activities are better when experienced together. We encourage family units to bond over shared activities.
- All persons under the age of 14 must have a supervising companion for aquatic, climbing and target sport activities. “Supervising companion” is understood to mean a person who is responsible for assuring that the youth will comply with applicable rules and regulations.
Activity Area Guidelines
- Adventure areas are safe when open and staffed and should not be explored unsupervised.
- Appropriate attire is required in some areas. Please refer to the daily activity schedule for specifics.
- Camp Tahuaya provides all necessary equipment to enjoy our scheduled activities. Some rental equipment is available for self-guided activities and you are welcome to bring your own fishing gear, bait, and Type III Coast Guard approved PFDs.
Terms and Conditions
By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Camp Tahuaya/Longhorn Council, Scouting America for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Camp Tahuaya/Longhorn Council, Scouting America from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Camp Tahuaya/Longhorn Council, Scouting America may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Camp Tahuaya/Longhorn Council, Scouting America reserves the right to remove any occupant or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program.
Management shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.
Camp Tahuaya/Longhorn Council, Scouting America or its management bares no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing howsoever caused.
The management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper or group of campers for any cause.
