What is the University of Scouting
The University of Scouting is a leader's learning adventure. It is an action-packed, fun-filled single day of supplemental training where you choose the classes you wish to take. Classes are led by experienced volunteers and professionals who will help you enhance your ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to Scouts.
The Latin phrase “ESTOTE PARATI” found on our shield means “Be Prepared.” University of Scouting is designed to help you be prepared, further your knowledge, enhance your skills, and grow your network so you can better deliver the Promise of Scouting.
It is time to gather, network, hone your skills, and recharge for another great year of Scouting. To those who attended last year, we say welcome back. To those attending for the first time, we welcome you and hope you find your time well spent. We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate your willingness to spend it here. Our dedicated staff is ready to share experience, knowledge, and ideas to help you deliver the best program possible.

You will have the opportunity to learn new skills, strengthen your leadership, and share ideas with other Scouters. Between classes, take advantage of networking opportunities, visit with old friends, and make new ones.
The University Midway is another highlight, where you can explore Council programs, discover Scouting resources, meet community partners, and maybe even win a prize.
