Join us for an inspiring afternoon at the Killeen Silver Eagle Luncheon, an annual celebration supporting Longhorn Council, Scouting America. This special event brings together community leaders, dedicated volunteers, and supporters of Scouting to recognize outstanding achievements and invest in the next generation of leaders. Your participation helps empower youth in our community by funding transformative experiences, leadership development programs, and outdoor adventures that instill values of character, citizenship, and service.
This year, we are honored to recognize Bill Cooke with the Silver Eagle Award. Sheriff Bill Cooke, a Baylor graduate and DPS Academy alumnus, has served Bell County for decades—as a Highway Patrolman, criminal investigator, and 26-year Justice of the Peace, the longest-serving in West Bell County history. Elected as the 37th Sheriff, he’s also a former Killeen ISD Board member and has held leadership roles in local chambers, the Killeen Free Clinic, and his church. A proud Eagle Scout from Troop 212, he is married to Tammy Cooke, a retired county employee and Bell County Animal Control Shelter volunteer.
