The Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner honors individuals whose leadership, service, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our communities while exemplifying the values of Scouting. The event brings together community and business leaders to celebrate an outstanding citizen and recognize the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders. Proceeds from the dinner provide critical financial support for Longhorn Council, Scouting America, helping deliver life-changing experiences and character-building opportunities to youth across North and Central Texas. Honoring Our 2026 Recipient: Greg Ulmer
Gregory M. Ulmer is a distinguished aerospace leader whose career with Lockheed Martin spans more than three decades of innovation, leadership, and service. Most recently, he served as president of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, leading a more than $30 billion business with approximately 35,000 employees and responsibility for iconic programs including the F-35, F-22, F-16, C-130 and Advanced Development Programs, known as the Skunk Works®. Throughout his career, Ulmer has held leadership roles across some of the company’s most significant programs, including the F-35 Lightning II, C-5, C-130 and Skunk Works. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service through leadership roles with Rebuilding Together, the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership and the National Air and Space Museum. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a degree in aeronautical engineering, Ulmer also holds an executive master’s degree in business management from the University of Tennessee. His career, leadership, and commitment to strengthening the communities where he lives and works make him an exemplary recipient of the Distinguished Citizen Award.
