The Longhorn Council, Scouting America Construction Good Scout Award recognizes a leader in the construction industry who exemplifies integrity, strong character, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
The award honors an individual whose professional accomplishments are matched by a dedication to serving others and strengthening the communities around them. We are proud to recognize Stephen Johnson, Senior Vice President, Supplier Strategy at Techline, as this year’s Construction Good Scout Award honoree.

Stephen Johnson
Stephen Johnson, Senior Vice President, Supplier Strategy at Techline, has built a career defined by perseverance, leadership, and strong relationships. In the 1990s, Stephen established Techline’s presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, working out of his apartment with a used Ford Taurus. His leadership and determination helped grow that early effort into Techline’s regional operations, including warehouse locations in Fort Worth, Van Alstyne, Garland, and Shawnee.
Throughout his career, Stephen has played a key role in growing Techline’s business, developing lasting customer and supplier relationships, and supporting teams across the organization. His commitment to integrity, leadership, and long-term success has made a lasting impact on Techline and the industry.
Stephen’s career and character exemplify the qualities celebrated by the Construction Good Scout Award.
