Pictures from Flag Retirement Ceremony at Weatherford American Legion Post 163
Brazos Valley District’s Service Project at the American Legion Post 163 in Weatherford on June 12th in honor of Flag Day was captured in the pictures we are sharing here.
First, we would like to say “thank you” to Commander Dan Robertson and the entire American Legion Post 163 family. They helped Scouts and Scouters from Brazos Valley retire more than 3,000 US flags in a proper and dignified manner. There was a nice mix of Scouts from Pack 375, Pack 1949, Troop 75, Troop 76, and Bridgeport Troop 194.
Brazos Valley District Executive, Tim Calkins, shared this with us, “Inside, a member of Pack 375 led the members in a chorus of “Happy Birthday” to the US Army’s 245th Birthday on June 14, followed by a Pancake Dinner provided by the American Legion.”
Next time we aim to have a video of that!
Now, let’s take a look at the pictures:
Thank you American Legion Post 163 and Brazos Valley District.
Yours in Scouting,
