LHC Scouts help the Home Plate Project feed Johnson County residents

Hundreds of Johnson County residents have benefited from Cleburne Railroaders’ Home Plate Project.  The local baseball team has teamed-up with community partners to feed its residents.  One of those partners is our very own Santa Fe District Scouting units and volunteers.

Their selfless effort has been specially difficult due to the heat and social distancing requirements.  Longhorn Council Activities Chair, Angela Vu, shared that units get through with some quick planning.  They gather for a strategy session, say a little prayer, and off they go for the next couple of hours.

Special thanks to the Cleburne Railroaders Baseball organization who is making great use of its time during their cancelled season.  Check out more information on this ongoing service project.
