Johnson County Commissioners Court Honors Local Scout from Troop 11

Longhorn Council Scouts BSA Troop 11 has to be proud of William Dunaway.  The soon-to-be Eagle Scout from Burleson was honored with a plaque from the Johnson County Historical Commission for his Eagle Scout project.

Matt Smith from the Cleburne Times-Review was on hand to cover Monday’s Johnson County Commissioners meeting.   From the Cleburne Times-Review:  “When deciding on my project I decided I wanted to give something back,” Dunaway said.  Dunaway said he soon decided to reach out to Pathway Church in Burleson, formerly known as St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  “I’ve attended there since I was born and my family has attended even longer,” Dunaway said.  Dunaway installed new plant beds on the church grounds and applied to the Johnson County Historical Commission for historic recognition of the church.
