Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts – Important Update
We have a Scouts BSA program update from our National Scouts BSA Committee regarding the very first class of female Eagle Scouts. “The window for Eagle boards of review of the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts is from October 1, 2020 to February 8, 2021. As such, all Eagle Scout credentials will be dated February 8, 2021 so that we commemorate this milestone alongside the recognized “birthday” of the Boy Scouts of America.” (A link to the full update is provided below).
Before we look at that, we have a reminder from our LHC Family Scouting Chair, Brandee Ganz, which she shared on social media recently. “I know there are several posts being made about Female Eagle Scouts right now, please make sure that those EBOR (Eagle Board of Review) are not held until October 1st. I would hate for National to kick it back. If you have any questions, please let me know!! Excited for all of you and your hard work.
We will not recognize the first. They will all be a part of the first inaugural class of Female Eagle Scouts and have until January 31 to hold EBOR and official date from National signed on February 8, 2021.”

Stay-tuned for more information on our Longhorn Council Eagle Court of Honor (ECOH) for this first group. We are proud of this hard-working group and the leadership guiding them.
