Our Fall classes include Basic Robotics, Intermediate Robotics, Programming and STEM Labs.  All classes are open to boys and girls with a discount for Scout families.

STEM Education

Basic Robotics class (grades 1-3 and 4-6)- with lecture and hands-on application projects featuring the following weekly topics.  This class costs $120 for the semester.

• Introduction to robots
• Simple machines
• Engineering/Movement
• Circuits
• Programming

Intermediate Robotics (grades 4-6)- Basic Robotics is recommended before taking this class but not required.  Students will use the Lego EV3 Mindstorm Robotics Kits to build robots that will achieve specific challenges.  This class is geared to preparing students to compete in robotics competitions.  This class costs $125.

Programming – This class uses several applications including LOGO, Scratch and Python to teach students the basic principals in coding and programming.  Cost is $125 for this class.

STEM Labs– During this NEW program students have the opportunity to investigate, discover and play with our fun interactive STEM activities. Each week is a different topic.  Pay for one lab or the entire semister.  Cost is $25/Lab or $120 for the semister.

Open to all boys and girls.

All STEM classes are six week (or 9-12 hours) classes which typically meet once a week.  Classes begin September 13 at the Longhorn Activity Center, 5350 Basswood Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76137.  Sign up for one of the courses before they fill up. Deadline to Register is September 12.
