Eagle Scout Projects In The News

We bring you more positive Scouting stories and news to brighten your day.  Our “Throwback Thursday” (TBT) stories are all Eagle Scout project-related.  It is no secret that Scouts, and the Scouting movement, continue to give back to communities with servant leadership, character development, and helping others at all times.

Enjoy the following Eagle Scout project stories.

Longhorn Council Troop 462 Scout gives back to local Veterans for his Eagle Scout project. To view this video from KWTX click/tap >> here << or the picture below.

A Scout from North Texas provides more than 200 school uniforms for his BSA Eagle Scout project.  To view the video from NBCDFW click/tap >> here << or the picture below.

The next story is extra cool!  The video, also from NBCDFW, features a North Texas Scout’s Eagle Scout project providing a facelift for benches at an animal shelter.  The fun part is that the benches were put in originally by his dad for his Eagle Scout project.  To view the video from NBCDFW click/tap >> here << or the picture below.

COVID-19 didn’t stop this Eagle Scout from receiving the proper recognition he earned.  See the safe manner in which the Scouting community supported him.  To view the video from ABC, click/tap >> here << or the picture below.

North Texas Sea Scout collects more than 200 American flags for his Eagle Scout project in 48 hours.  His goal was 50!  To view the video from ABC-WFAA, click/tap >> here << or the pictures below.

Thank you and congratulations to these Eagle Scouts.

Their journey started by joining Scouting.  Joining is easier than ever.  Parents, grandparents, or guardians who want to register their youth for an age-appropriate program with Boy Scouts of America can visit:  www.BeAScout.org

We look forward to writing their Eagle Scout story.  For Longhorn Council Eagle Scout or other Scouting story submissions, please send me an email, [email protected]
