Florida Sea Base
Scouting beyond the shore
The ocean covers 71 percent of Earth’s surface, and the Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is there to explore it. For more than 40 years, Florida Sea Basehas helped Scouts discover the pull of the ocean, with aquatics programs that include sailing, scuba diving, fishing and rustic camping on a remote island. By coming face to face with coral reefs teeming with life, getting Scouts’ hands on the tiller of a 40-foot ship, and seeing how communities on land impact the aquatic environment, Sea Base brings to life the powerful relationships at work in the ocean better than any classroom lecture.
