A Warm Message from our LHC Development Team and LHC Staff
The world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus. From myself, the Development Team and the entire professional staff at the Longhorn Council, we wish you well in weathering this crisis, both personally and professionally, and pray that you, your family and friends, your clients, and your colleagues are safe and healthy.
Our programs are still being delivered to our Scouts and their families by virtual mediums. As you know so well; Scouting’s traditional programs build character, leadership and prepares Scouts to be our next generation of leaders in our community. It is essential at this time we continue delivering our program during this crisis. Scouts across the Longhorn Council, Boy Scouts of America are finding ways to stay active and give back to the community.
Click on the images below to find a few ways that our Scouts are helping out and moving Scouting forward, along with a video about Scouts being prepared for this.
Right now life has us keeping our distance, but there has never been a more important time to come together.
Scouts have been preparing for times like these for over 100 years.
We’ve got this. We are scouts!
