BSA High Adventure at its finest! Chisholm Trail is Texas High Adventure - a unique and unforgettable high adventure for older youth and adults. It's a backpacking program with boats instead of boots. You get a pontoon boat for a week to travel to the high adventure outposts and watersports bases on our 19 miles of Lake Bridgeport shoreline! We offer something for everyone.

Watersports Bases: Sailing & Windsurfing; Tubing & Wakeboarding; Blobs.

High Adventure Outposts: U.S. Cavalry, Texas Rangers,
Covert Ops, Climbing, Comanche Village, Sporting Clays, Sport Orienteering, Highland Games, COPE, and Cowboy Cooking.

Sid Richardson Scout Ranch
A Texas-size Boy Scout camp with Texas-sized high adventure programs, lots of history, and a new air-conditioned dining hall. 3,000 acres of scenic cliffs, open prairie, heavy forests, and 19 miles of rugged shoreline on Lake Bridgeport. The historic 1870's U.S. Cavalry outpost site is a centerpiece of our Chisholm Trail High Adventure - one of BSA's finest High Adventure Programs.

Summer Camp and High Adventure Program Page
Camp Tahuaya
A small, beautiful, heavily-wooded camp with the largest natural spring in Texas. Everything at Tahuaya is within easy walking distance. The Shanklin mill, millrace ruins, and Old Military Road are historic landmarks.

Tahuaya has a new pool and showerhouse, and the lake has been deepened to improve fish habitat.
