Fort Worth and Waco Scout Shows
Waco Scout Show - May 12
Fort Worth Scout Show - May 12

On May 12, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM the Longhorn Council Districts will present the best their Packs, Troops, Crews and Posts have to offer to the communities of our Council as they demonstrate, display, the fun and learning activities of Scouting.

How does the Scout Show Sale work?
The Longhorn Council will supply each unit that participates with a supply of plastic Discount Coupon cards customized to the Communities of each unit. The campaign will consist of two "Blitz Days:" April 14th and April 21st.

1. The unit designates a Scout Show Chairman and fills out the Scout Show Coupon Card order form. Cards must be ordered in multiples of ten. Orders must be received by April District Roundtable to ensure enough cards. Cards will be distributed to the unit leaders on the morning of your District's "Blitz Day."

2. The unit sets a goal for each Scout. Example: 10 cards per Scout to start. Encourage every family to participate and explain the incentive plan to the Scouts and their families. Discount card sales are fun, easy and fast paced!

3. "The Blitz Day Bonus" Each "Unit" that sells on "District Blitz Day" will receive 40% of the total sales for that day.
(Council Blitz Days are Saturday, April 14th and April 21st. Unit leaders receive details from the Districts Scout Show Chairperson).

4. After the District Blitz Day sales are complete on the afternoon of the 8th all money collected that day is turned in at the Districts Blitz day location. Of course the unit will retain 40% of the sales that day ($4.00 for every card sold).
Patches for all participants will be distributed at the Scout Show.

5. Plan an exciting, interesting display, activity, craft or game to showcase your unit's best qualities for the Scout Show. See the attached sheet for display ideas or let us know of your interesting idea that is not listed, get your commitment card back quick!
