Click on the links below for detailed campsite
and facility maps for all Longhorn Council camps. The maps
show the locations of each camp's facilities, established campsites,
general field camping areas, latrines with seasonal water (spring-summer-fall),
latrines without water, summer camp showers, winterized year-round
water sources, and more. Note that all water sources except winterized
year-round sources are turned off from November 1 to April 1 to prevent
freeze damage.
Each set of maps includes one detailed map, a printable GIF map showing
basic roads and facilities only, and a printable PDF map showing basic
roads and facilities only.
Campsite Capacity and Information pages
are also listed below for each camp. These pages list estimate campsite
maximum capacities, show which sites have water, shelters, and latrines,
and list some information notes for the campsites in each Longhorn
Council camp. These pages are currently for information only. They
are provided to help units make weekend camping reservations when
the new online reservation system starts. Under current LHC
Camping Policy, units can request particular campsites
on their weekend camping reservations but all final campsite assignments
are made by the Camp Ranger. When the online weekend reservation system
is opened, units will then be able to make specific campsite reservations
for available sites within the guidelines of the system. Camp Rangers
will then no longer need to make campsite assignments, except where
requested.
