Viking
Outpost
Welcome to our Viking camp! The medieval period could be quite dangerous
so we will outfit you with a Viking shield and weapons. Join us as
we sail and row a real Viking ship on the the inland sea of 10,000
acre Lake Bridgeport.
 Learn
some of the medieval history of Nordic peoples. Gather round the cauldron
and share a hearty Norse supper of meat and flatbreads cooked by the
Viking staff in a medieval camp.
Learn medieval combat skills and compete in a combat skills tournament.
In the Warrior Competition the honors go to the fastest warrior completing
the combat course with sword, spear, battleaxe, longbow, and crossbow.
At dawn you must sail to a coastal village and overcome the guards.
Your breakfast is in the village granary - if you want to eat you
must take the village.
Finish your stay at our humble village with a competition in the use
of medieval artillery - firing large scale catapults or trebuchets.
