The program here is eatin'!! So come hungry!

Everyone gets a steak - except vegetarians!

And YOU do all the cooking! Here, Troop 410 checks on their steaks, bicuits, and cobbler in July, 2004.

You'll make your own cookin' tools with our blacksmith's forge.

Folks, jest kick back 'n put yer feet up 'cause it's time to eat! Leastways it is after the cookin's done. Set yer camp up over yonder by the trees and then mosey on over fer some fine cowboy hospitality. Yer in fer some great food 'n lots of it!

Fer supper you'll be cookin' Texas steaks, corn, potatoes, biscuits, 'n cobbler. So bring a BIG appetite. While yer cookin' yer crew can take turns swimmin' in the lake - we're all set up on one o' the purtiest points on Lake Bridgeport!

Evening program is storytellin.' Since this is Texas, you better bring some really big tall tales for the campfire storytellin' competition.

Bring yer best tall tales, too, 'cause after supper we're gonna kick back fer the tall tale competition and some good ole cowboy songs. We're not servin' beans folks fer supper, so plan on keepin' them musical accompaniments to a bare minimum.

In the mornin' you'll be cookin' a big Tex-Mex spread of breakfast Burritos and more. It's all you can eat, so eat hearty. Then it's time fer learnin' a little blacksmithin.' We'll have you makin' yer own cookin' tools in no time flat - so's you can take 'em on home with you. We provide the food, cooking gear, and blacksmithing supplies. You provide the cooks and the best stories you can bring along for the storytellin' competition. This here's Texas so ya better bring some real big ones, too!
