A Venture Crew member smiles after completing a climb in June, 2002.

You can do bouldering in the evening with spotters and crash pads to learn new techniques.

The bouldering wall has one side with a BIG overhang to challenge your skills!

Yes folks, if you don't have climbing shoes and want better traction on the rock you can leave your boots at the bottom of the cliff while you climb.

Learn to climb or hone your skills on the rugged cliffs of Lake Bridgeport with our outstanding experienced climbing staff. You'll land your pontoon boat below the cliffs at Hermit's Cave, and set up camp in the forest between the cliffs and the lake. It's a great campsite! Our staff will serve baked potatoes with all the trimmings for supper. During supper you can watch some of the world's great climbers as our expert climbers narrate several extreme climbing videos!

After supper you can go bouldering with us and see or learn some truly dynamic climbing moves! We have bouldering pads and practice areas from beginner to advanced on the cliffs, as well as a new boulder wall facility with easy and hard routes and overhangs. It is lighted for night climbing and is usable even when it rains!

After an early breakfast, you can climb all morning. Our climbers have opened over 25 new climbing routes for all skill levels from 5.8 beginner routes to 5.10+ advanced climbs! The routes you climb, when you start, and when you stop are up to your group. Participants are welcome to bring climbing shoes. We will provide all harnesses, ropes, helmets, and climbing gear.
