The European Camp Staff program is operated by the European Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Members of the Boy Scouts of America, ages 18 through 30, are given opportunity to serve as counselors in European Region Scout camps and training centers. The BSA counselor pays for personal roundtrip air transportation and, as a general rule, a percentage of the overall cost is reimbursable following the trip. Room and board are provided in camp in addition to accident and illness insurance. Participation in the European Camp Staff program must be approved by the Council and the International Department of the National Office of the Boy Scouts of America.
