Winter Camp Merit Badge Program – Lakeview Lodge
A week of fun and merit badges at Lakeview Lodge. Please check the Merit Badges you are interested in taking. Merit Badges offered will depend on requests and on the qualifications of the adult staff. Additional Eagle-required Merit Badges are added on request when qualified adult staff are available. Please list any additional merit badges you recommend to add to the program (availability depends on skills of adult instructors).

Aviation Merit Badge and Flight Simulator Program
Spend half of each day flying F-16 simulators. Learn about flying, participate in networked dogfights, and earn Aviation Merit Badge. Must be 13 to participate. Limit 2 Scouts per troop. Only 16 slots available.
U.S. Cavalry – Frontier Living History Camp
Learn the history of 1870's frontier Texas as you serve for a week as a Cavalry soldier. The 1872 U.S. Cavalry Company program is for Boy Scouts age 13 and older, and Venturing Crew members age 14 and older. Cavalry Outpost includes authentic carbines, cannons, uniforms, food, and equipment, several battles against local outlaws and Indians. Also includes an overnight stay in the Historic barracks at Fort Richardson.
Venturers can earn the Living History requirement. Participants learn cannon and carbine drills, reenactment shooting safety procedures, skirmish drills, make cartridges, fire Civil War era cannons and Cavalry carbines, and participate in reenactment battles. Cavalry uniforms provided for Cavalry participants. Bring lots of warm clothing. Cavalry Troopers need thermal underwear and insulating garments to wear under cavalry uniforms, plus sleeping bags/blankets, pillows, canteen, camping gear, etc.

Boy Scout Winter Camp Fee: $215, all food, lodging, and program equipment provided.
Aviation Merit Badge: $230, Limit 16, minimum 12.
U.S. Cavalry Camp Fee: $215 per person, all food, program equipment & supplies, powder & shooting supplies, and cavalry uniforms provided. *Must be at least 13 to participate in Living History Program.
