BSA Lifeguard Weeks
and Adult BSA Lifeguard Instructor Certification Program

Worth Ranch: June 26 - July 2
Sid Richardson Scout Ranch: July 3-9
Youth & adults 15 & older can spend a week dedicated to earning BSA Lifeguard. (Scouts may also work on Lifeguard during any week at summer camp at Tahuaya, Worth Ranch, and SR2). As of 2009, Scouts must be at least 15 years old to enroll in BSA Lifeguard.

Youth and adults 16 and older may also work on their certifications for “Swimming and Water Rescue” and “Paddle Craft Safety.”
Attendance Requirements
All participants must complete the BSA swimmers test.
Worth Ranch: Registered Boy Scout youth and adults age 15 and older may earn BSA Lifeguard.
Sid Richardson Scout Ranch: Registered Boy Scout and Venturing youth and adults age 15 and older may earn BSA Lifeguard.

Adult BSA Lifeguard Instructor Certification Program
Adults age 21 and older may earn BSA Lifeguard Instructor Certification. Certification is valid for 5 years. Must show evidence of prior certification and experience as a BSA Lifeguard or equivalent certification with a recognized agency.
